3-day diet plan for weight loss Part 2

So what does this magical 3 day diet entail:

Breakfast-

- beverage, with 1-2 packets of artificial sweetener
- ½ grape fruit
- I toast with one-teaspoon peanut butter

Lunch

- ½-cup tuna
- One toast
- Beverage with artificial sweetener

Dinner

- 3 oz meat/chicken
- 1-cup green beans
- 1-cup carrots
- One apple
- I cup regular ice cream

And so this is all you eat, cycle after cycle.

The author of the diet says within 3 days you will feel new and thin. Well, that is all talk but what about the evidence?

Despite the fact that the 3-day diet plan has been around for more than 20 years, there is not a single scientific study to validate claims of the author. There are no trials, no testimonials, and no reports. In fact, no individuals have ever come forward and claimed that within 3 days he/she lost weight and had reduction in blood pressure.

There are no magical ingredients and there is nothing special about the diet. If one simply did not eat for 3 days and follow the 3-day routine, the results would be the same. There is no ingredient in the diet plan that can help you cleanse your bowels unless you puree the foods and give yourself a good enema! All the talk about reducing blood pressure and cholesterol is just a bunch of crap.

So what to the food experts have to say about this 3-diet plan? Absolute nonsense, not sustainable and not nutritious. There is no way that eating very calorie diets are sustainable for more than a day. Therefore, for all those who want to lose weight, chuck this diet plan in the garbage and for those who bought the book, use it for firewood.

Weight loss is a difficult problem
. For those who want to lose weight, do not give up. Eat a well balanced diet and start an exercise program. While this is not some thing fancy, it is cheap, safe and a guaranteed method for weight loss.
