The Rice Diet

When I first heard about the Rice Diet, I believed it was from China. Chinese and Orientals love rice and they are also thin. However, what a shock it was to discover that this Rice diet has its roots in North Carolina.

The Rice diet is quite simple. One does not eat sugar, no processed foods or saturated oils. You eat rice for breakfast, rice for snack, rice for lunch and more rice for dinner. Moreover, within 7-10 days you will lose at least 3 pounds in weight. The Rice diet is like a boot camp diet. Besides helping you lose weight, you will also get better control of your diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritic joint pain, and even kidney disease. This will all happen if you live past 14 days of non-stop rice eating.

The Rice Diet has been developed by a female dietician and her physician husband. These two authors have a cookbook on the Rice diet and offer a variety of exotic rice dishes. The diet is very low in calories and one gets to eat a lot of carbohydrates. The authors claim that this will also help you clean your bowels and remove all the environmental toxins which you have been accumulating by eating processed foods. As you start the diet, you will be able to concentrate, think, and perform much more efficiently.

While exercises are not a big thing with this diet, Yoga and meditation is recommended when you are not eating rice. The yoga will do wonders for your body and help you relax. (I am sure the hunger pangs will require some type of relaxation therapy).
