Lipovarin contains the ingredient synephrine. Synephrine is very similar in structure to ephedrine, which is a known brain stimulant and works like a thermogenic agent (burns of calories).
The reason ephedrine was taken off the market was because it was associated with a number of complications including heart attacks, strokes, chest pain and heart palpitations. Currently it is believed that Synephrine acts very similar to ephedrine and has the potential to cause serious health problems.
