Well what do the food experts have to say? They indicate that none of Dr Rivas’s claims are backed by any scientific study or clinical evidence. There is not a single reference in any medical textbook nor is there a single clinical study to indicate that the diet works as he says. Dr Rivas is a physician but yet he has no examples of his own patients who have followed the diet.
On cyberspace there is zilch out there on the cheater’s diet. Frank testimonials are not existent.
And what about the supplements? Well, Dr Rivas probably is endorsing these supplements because he is clueless. None of the supplements mentioned have been shown to burn fat or promote weight loss. The experts claim this is nothing more than a gimmick to make more money. The book and health supplements are the usual routine for all physicians who write books on diet. As far Dr Rivas cockamamie story on cinnamon and weight loss- Crap should suffice. Cinnamon is a spice widely used in oriental cooking to flavor food. Every single day someone claims a new medical cure for cinnamon and now Dr Rivas claims it is a cure for weight loss. Cinnamon does jack s..t
The food experts claim that this is just another diet fad with a lot of hype but no real truth to it.
For those who want to lose weight with a similar diet, try the Mediterranean diet. Exercise on a daily basis, change your life style, avoid cinnamon buns and do not listen to DR Rivas and spurge yourself on the weekends- you will get fat.
