The hallelujah Diet- Part 2

So how does the diet work?

When you get up, breakfast is whole grains and alfalfa juice (for those who have never had alfalfa juice, this is a treat). Snack in the morning is more vegetable juice or any vegetable. Lunch is more grains and greens. Dinner is more greens, more alfalfa juice, perhaps pasta, or a baked potato (after looking at the ingredients, I wonder why the reverend did not call it the Rabbit Diet?)

Is there anything you cannot eat on this diet? If there is anything not mentioned above, you can’t eat. No sugar, no processed foods, no hamburger, no hot coffee, no tea, no candy, NOPE nothing. The diet is all extreme vegetarian.

So what do the food experts say about the diet? Dr Reverend’s diets lack almost all essential nutrients, minerals, and proteins. But wait, Dr Reverend did say all those extras can be bought at his store! However, the food experts are not impressed. The diet is very simple. Wake up in the morning, go outside, and eat grass (perhaps an orange to cheer you up). This is what the diet is all about. The Reverend does mention that this is the Diet God wanted him to create. But Reverend, did God ask you to open a health food store and sell crap to your parishioners?-No answer.

The website is also a gimmick. Everything the Reverend and his wife sell has exorbitant claims. Alfalfa will clean your bowel, make you smart and strong, help you lose weight and so on- nothing different compared to all other weight loss diet programs.

The food experts say this is a terrible diet and gives God a bad name. It lacks everything essential for a human to survive. Humans are omnivores and need meat sometimes. If God has wanted us to eat grass all day, surely he would have made us into cows or goats?

So in ending, the diet is dull, there is no motivation and neither is it safe. If it is not safe for healthy people, it is hard to recommend the diet to children, the sick or pregnant women.

For all of you still wanting to lose weight, please seek help from a dietician or a nutritionist. When one has a medical problem, we go to a health care professional not a car mechanic. Please Reverend, your job is to sell heaven, not help us lose weight- give us a break.
