African ginger for migraines

I have been having migraines for some years and do not want to take drugs. I have heard that African ginger may help. What do you suggest?

African ginger is widely sold to treat many medical disorders including morning sickness, motion sickness, arthritis and migraines. Some people even take it for pain relief from osteoarthritis. The question is does it work? So far there is ZERO data to show that it is effective for migraine. Some people do claim that it reduces nausea of pregnancy. The majority of herbs and plants on sale have never been tested for their clinical benefits. In most cases, manufacturers of herbs and health supplements have started to make up all sorts of shit about their product. Remember many products from India and China are fakes and counterfeits. In fact, several herbs from china have been found to contain real pharmaceutical ingredients. The best advice I can give you is try the African ginger and if it works fine. If it does not, then go and see a reputable neurologist and get something that really works.
