Is Hookah smoking safer than tobacco?

You can rest assured that hookah smoking is just as bad as smoking cigarettes, perhaps worse. The hookah goes by many names and they all sound exotic and the devices look all elegant and sexy. You suck the smoke through a long pipe and it all looks like a great social event. However, the hookah is not safe at all.  In fact, when I worked in the Middle East, I was seeing both men and women with lung cancers at a very young age. I have never encountered that in the USA. The hookah is not designed to filter out the noxious chemicals and everything goes into the lung. If you want to live along healthy life I suggest you not smoke the hookah. Hookah smoke also leads to cancer of the oral cavity and esophagus. It is best avoided.
