Does
salicylic gel work for warts?
Salicylic
acid gel is widely sold for the treatment of non genital warts. You only apply
it on skin and should not get it on any other part of the body. The skin must
be dry before application. If the skin is broken, red or infected, you should
never apply salicylic acid. There are also special formulas that come as a
plaster or a tape that you wrap or apply on the wart. You need to use it for a
few weeks or months before you see any response. So does it work?
Absolutely
not. This is the most worthless product on the market for treatment of warts.
All you are doing is throwing your hard earned money down the toilet. You may
as well pee on the wart. My advice- stop using this crap and see a skin doctor.
If the wart does not bother you, leave it alone. Most spontaneously disappear.
The more you muck around with warts, the more depressed you will become.
Anytime you see more than 3 treatments for a skin disorder, it usually means
none of them work well.
