Drug for panic disorder

I have panic disorder. Is there a particular drug that you can recommend?

There are many drugs to treat panic disorders. Some work and others do not; sometimes even drugs that initially work stop working in the long run. What works in one person, may not always work in another person. My drug of choice for panic attacks is Prozac. It is an effective drug, has been around for many years and is relatively safe. There is also a generic version available, which is relatively cheap. Prozac is an excellent choice for people with anxiety and depression. It is important to start at very low doses to avoid the initial anxiety caused by the drug. The drug is taken once a day and works well. Remember, Prozac does cause weight gain-hence you must change your lifestyle. You need to exercise and eat less, otherwise you will quickly gain weight, which is difficult to get rid off.
